We will be hosting an informal happy hour at the same time and place!

Navigating workplace conflicts can be challenging and uncomfortable for all involved, but is necessary to develop cohesive teams and improve working relationships. The upcoming WIS PDX Professional Development Mixer “Navigating Conflict in the Workplace” is a great resource for tackling this topic. This event will feature a talk from Mary Lind, a conflict management specialist at OHSU, who will share a variety of tools and resources for fostering professional relationships as well as how to manage strained relationships and work towards resolution. You will have the opportunity to practice conflict resolution with other attendees based on what you’ve learned from Lind’s presentation.

You will also have the chance to network with others across the full spectrum of fields and career paths in the sciences. There will be unlimited pizza and a raffle drawing for some great WIS gear. This all-ages mixer will take place on July 17th from 6:00 to 8:30 (check-in begins at 5:30) at Lucky Labrador Beer Hall in NW Portland. We encourage anyone from any career level to attend to get advice and engage with our Women in Science community!

Cost of ticket includes admission to the event, food, and drink ticket.
