WIS PDX Leadership Bootcamp
In STEM fields, both in academia and industry, fewer and fewer women hold leadership positions as they advance in their career whereas this trend is the opposite for men. This disparity is even more drastic among women of color and those of other marginalized identities.
WIS PDX’s Leadership Bootcamp is a 4-part series that includes small, group discussion and assignments. Attendees learn to understand their potential to be confidence and effective leaders by exploring their leadership style and learning key leadership skills and approaches.
Sessions are offered 2x per year.

Our Leadership Bootcamp offers an intimate co-learning group for 4 biweekly sessions to discuss what leadership means to us, what challenges we face, and how we can collectively build skills and community to increase opportunities for women in STEM leadership. This course integrates concepts and ideas from Brene Brown, Simon Sinek, Christy Glass, Alison Cook, Reshma Saujani, Larisa Halilović, and more.
By the end of the course, you will have:
A deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and what drives you to lead
Learned key skills and approaches and how to apply them within your leadership style
